How to use Letter Prototype
Our website features a growing list of past and present letters. Find one whose topic and style are appropriate to what you’d like to use. Select the text of the letter and choose
> EDIT > COPY
from your browser’s menu; open your favorite text editor and paste in the text using
> EDIT > PASTE
Now customize and personalize the letter to your specific needs and context. The media doesn’t print form letters, so make sure your letter is specific; it helps if you are commenting on a recent story or news item. Also, if you include your name and contact information, you may be able to build local support through networking with like-minded individuals.
