These are gas and diesel tanks of the New Paltz Highway Dept. Almost outside the door, hunters lurk in the woods with rifles! This photo along with the following photos convinced the town board to use the “Ask” program, and ask for a million dollar liability from hunters in the area.
We were hoping to take all of the 300 acres of Town land from hunters, as bullets travel miles, endangering workers, hikers, and people living everyday lives. Further, hunting places structures and equipment at risk that have potential to cause economic and environmental disaster. Well, this is a start.
