Gov. Terry Branstad of Iowa appointed his son to the Natural Resources Commission. They defended the appointment by saying that he will go through the same confirmation process as every other appointee.

The younger Branstad is described as a longtime outdoor enthusiast and hunter. The governor said, “He has a passion for outdoor resources.” Sent by Merle Wilson.
