Authorities are investigating a hunting accident in the Eutawville area.

Officers with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources said it believed that an adult male was stuck by stray shotgun pellet(s) Friday afternoon.

The pellets came from another hunter participating in the deer hunt, according to SCDNR.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
