A woman has been charged after allegedly shooting in the direction of people while hunting in Lancaster County in late November.
The Susquehanna Regional Police Department said officers responded to the 200 block of Beattys Tollgate Road in East Donegal Township on November 29 for a hunting complaint.
Police said that the victim said they were outside in the backyard of their property when they heard multiple gunshots and could hear the bullets passing by them.
Police investigated the incident and identified the hunter as Karen Gaus, who admitted to police that she fired two shots at a deer in the direction of the victim’s residence.
Gaus was arrested and charged with recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct, according to police.
