Minnesota Man Rescued After Capsizing Kayak While Duck Hunting (krocnews.com)

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says an Alexandria man was out duck hunting when his kayak overturned. The incident occurred around 8 AM on Lake Oscar, about 10 miles west of Alexandria.

The responding deputies and first responders were able to rescue the man and provide medical treatment at the scene before he was transported by ambulance to a hospital. A Sheriff’s Office spokesman says his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The National Weather Service says the temperature in the Alexandria area with a mishap occurred was only around 20 degrees.
