Two Minnesota men were accidentally shot by children Sunday morning in separate hunting accidents.
The first shooting occurred just before 8 a.m. northwest of the Twin Cities in Becker Township, according to the Sherbourne County Sheriff’s Office.

A 45-year-old man from Becker Township, who was not hunting, was with his 12-year-old in a deer stand. She had just successfully shot a deer when she accidentally fired another round, striking her dad in the leg.
Another member of their family who was present applied a tourniquet to his leg before first responders arrived. The man was taken to North Memorial Health in Robbinsdale for treatment.
The victim, a 50-year-old man, had just taken a 10-year-old boy out deer hunting and was explaining how to unload a bolt-action Ruger .270 hunting rifle.
The boy accidentally pulled the trigger, and a round pierced both of the victim’s buttocks.
The victims’ conditions are unknown. Both shootings happened during youth hunting events.
