A duck hunter was rescued Friday when his boat apparently capsized near Pine Point in Scarborough.
Marine Resource Officer and Harbor Master Daryen Granata told NEWS CENTER Maine that the stern went underwater, causing the man to land in the water, where he was for five to six minutes before other nearby duck hunters saw him and pulled him into their boat.
The water temperature was around 42 degrees, according to Granata.
Upon arrival, emergency crews saw the man was inside a vehicle with heaters on. The man was taken by ambulance to Maine Medical Center in Portland for evaluation but was alert and otherwise considered to be OK.
