Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office officials say a man was arrested after leading EPD on a chase after he was caught hunting on Evansville Country Club property.
According to a press release, officers responded to the area after the man, later identified as James Eric Jarman, was caught by cell-trail camera at the location illegally hunting.
Officials say Jarman had a felony warrant out for his arrest. Once he saw officers, he fled the scene on an ATV.
The press release states that officers attempted to make a traffic stop, but Jarman continued to flee from police.
Jarman eventually ditched his ATV and ran from police. He was later found by an EPD K-9 hiding inside a shed in the 300 block of Colonial Avenue.
He is now being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail on Interfering with Law Enforcement Using a Vehicle and an outstanding Felon Warrant.
