Logansport man shot in hunting incident
A Logansport man was hospitalized after he accidentally shot himself in the foot while hunting on Monday morning.
Officers were dispatched at 10 a.m. on a report of a deer hunter who was shot in the foot.
According to the Department of Natural Resources, the man was finishing his hunt and lowering his firearm from an elevated stand when he discharged the gun, and the bullet hit his foot.
The man climbed down from the stand and called for help. He was transported to an area hospital in good condition.
