Officers with the DLNR’s Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement are investigating a shooting in West Oahu, possibly related to hunting activities.
The shooting also involved a juvenile, authorities said.
It happened in the area of Makaha Valley Friday morning. DLNR said the male victim was flown out of the area by a Honolulu Fire Department helicopter, and taken to Queen’s Medical Center via ambulance.
They added that there is no known danger to the public as the weapon involved was seized.
Authorities are investigating possible criminal charges related to firearms, hunting, trespassing offenses and more.
No word on the victim’s condition. Additional details were limited.
