Wild things free and natural
Uncomplicated, too,
Unlike the fat and listless ones
Man creates inside his zoo;
Freedom is a precious word
Each beast has long since known
Until the evils of mankind
The seeds of greed were sown;
How sad the beauty of most life
Our children may never see
Extinction all because of greed
They won’t see creatures free;
Out there somewhere in oceans deep
Somewhere in woodlands dense
To never know a bullet’s pain
Or held back by a fence;
Our children won’t know whale’s song
Or see eagles on the wing
Appreciate tiger’s beauty
Or listen to wolves sing!
I can’t imagine Mother Earth
Without God’s creatures wild
Protect them now for us today
And for Tomorrow’s Child……
