The Kershaw County Coroner announced on Sunday the death of a 25-year-old in a hunting accident.

Officials report that 25-year-old Dalton Jordan was reported missing on Saturday afternoon.

According to Coroner David West, family and friends of Jordan found his body off of Flat Rock Rd.

He was pronounced dead at the scene from apparent gunshot wound.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at Newberry Medical Center.

This is currently under investigation by Kershaw County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Department of Natural Resource.
