One man drowned while duck hunting on the Great Salt Lake Tuesday evening.
Two men were duck hunting near the Ambassador Duck Club, northwest of the Salt Lake City International Airport, when one of them fell into the water and didn’t resurface, Salt Lake County sheriff’s spokesman Chris Bronson said.
Search and rescue crews responded, but the man’s body has not been recovered yet, Bronson said. His identity has not yet been released.
The other man was flown to dry land and evaluated by emergency crews, the Salt Lake City Fire Department said.
An investigation into the drowning is ongoing, but alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor, Bronson said.
