MI: Hunting accident in Jackson County leaves man in critical condition, police say

An Inkster man accidentally shot himself in the face while hunting on Wednesday, Oct. 2, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said. The 63-year-old man was hunting raccoons near Sharon Valey Road in Norvell Township when he accidentally shot himself with a .22 caliber rifle, police said. The man was able to walk to a nearby residence to get help. The incident is under investigation.
