This doe left orphaned fawns and struggled for four days to find food. The arrow went through her nose, throat and neck. Because of the extreme angst of people who saw her and all of the negative publicity hunting was getting, the DOW shot her. They said they were reducing her suffering as they could smell infection. Of course they could have tranquilized her and had her treated by a veterinarian.
